Winston's Score:
10/10
Review: Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building. In fact, when he left the building in this film, my little puppy heart ached for the guy! Some say Elvis ain't nothin' but a hound dog...but I'm the hound dog while watching this movie because I was crying all the time! Superb!
Chandler's Score:
9/10
Review: All the feels here folks! My favorite moment is when we get to see Elvis warming up for a concert while having flashbacks to his childhood days singing in church and watching the most popular song styles of the time. Goosebumps! There's so much to love about this one in terms of a modern twist on the classic life of Elvis. Somehow the film put forth hip hop style music and I found myself liking it! Disclaimer: this film is more about Elvis's manager throughout his professional career but Tom Hanks doesn't steal the show away from the significance of Elvis's life. Well put together and certainly worth watching twice (at least!).
Hannah's Score:
9/10
Review: Perfectly cast! This film was a labor of love, and it is evident. The acting, the music, the dancing, and the history keep you engaged the whole time. Learning about the life of Elvis helps you to understand the icon he is as well as break your heart for the trauma he withstood...a peek behind the curtain of his life for sure. Whether you are an Elvis fan, or you live under a rock this is a must-see film!
