Review: This film was one we rented and watched at home.  Pierce Brosnan has a pretty cool part to play.  I'm a sucker for the wisest characters in a film and I like him in this role.  Also, I think the costume they put The Rock in was a little too loose around the collar/neck.  It was kinda odd especially since I don't wear clothes.  Ha!  This movie is worth playing in the background if you have some admin work to do or you're catching an afternoon puppy nap.

Review: Did someone say CGI?! This film is saturated with it! Also, when will DC start building equity with their comic characters through the big screen? I felt overwhelmed and under-informed in this film. The wizard council has potential as they’re important to Shazam and now Black Adam. I won’t get my hopes up though…isn’t Batman the “non-hero” guy? It looks like Black Adam is too now. This film is okay but don’t rush to go see it!

Review: Wasted potential. I appreciated the plot, a hero who really isn’t a hero at all. Just a man who fights for himself and erroneously happens to help people around him at the same time. However, the complete lack of character development made the arcs and “big moments” especially anti-climactic. All of that in combination with laughable, heavy-handed CGI villains made the movie a missed opportunity in my mind. Better luck next time DC.
